How does your mindset affect your financial success?
View all responses
Recently, I was going through a lot mentally, not physically, and probably was overthinking. But trust me, when you overthink, sometimes you come up with some crazy ideas as your gut feeling kicks in too.

Mindset and Success
For me, mindset is absolutely a critical element in defining the success, whether it’s financial or non-financial. Now, success has a different definition for everyone. Someone who is ultra ambitious may define their success differently from a person who is not so ambitious. Similarly the financial success for some is about being ultra-rich, while for others, it’s about financial freedom.
The two CEOs Dilemma
Recently, one CEO of a startup mentioned that you should live EMI-free life, and for him the financial success means being free from all sorts of credit debts (loans, credit cards etc.). But on the contrary, another CEO was looking at things very differently. He was seeking rounds of funding from venture capital firms to achieve crazy growth and lead the company towards success in big way.
Definition of financial success per me
So, here is my dilemma: what is actual financial success is? After doing a lot of overthinking, I feel and believe that financial success is having the freedom to buy what you want to buy without thinking too much, helping those in need, and having enough to survive in this life. At the same time you shouldn’t lose the value of having this feeling of freedom.
Final thoughts
For me, financial success is critical, but at same time, it should not come at the cost of other important aspects of life and relationships. The balance is important.
